Transfer Times

Currently waiting for my July3 to go thru (QC), shouldn't be too long I hope. I'm not sure where I can see which day they are currently at.

Damn this thread is not making me feel optimistic about the transfer I initiated today:/

I asked the sales guy where we at with transfers. He said the 2 ladies that do all the transfers in Ontario are 23000 transfers behind, and only begun June transfers...so yeah,
Then I asked if I could get the reference number, he said it will take a few hours to sort thru the stack of their order pile, and if they did find it and gave it to me, and I actually get my call answered at the CFOs office, they probably will put my transfer at the bottom of the stack.
So, I bought a new rifle and left a little bit happier.

I purchased a pair of revolvers early June. The seller tried for several days to initiate a transfer but could not get through. He then received information that we could email the transfer in, which was done and then notification came that they were not responding to emails and the transfer application had to be faxed in by the buyer. Which I did, and then we waited.
Finally last week the transfer came through and the items were shipped to and received by me. This was a private transaction and it took almost 8 weeks. Business transactions I believe get priority.

How did the transfer came through? Did you receive the transfer confirmation by mail or also via email as well?

I guess there is one advantage of being in NS. I made a deal for a private sale last Monday. We both made our phone calls Tuesday morning and I had the approval from the CFO on Wednesday morning. It arrived in the mail yesterday.
