FYI, called the BC Firearms Office 800-731-4000 yesterday, October 6, 2022 - 1pm, waited for 30 minutes, finally spoke with a very pleasant lady, asked how long transfers been taking currently and she confirmed 12-13 weeks at the moment. Hope this info helps everyone.

Just an fyi for anyone if you are in Alberta call the cfo they are happy to approved your transfers if you are the buyer. 3 days ago when I spoke to the lady after 10000 calls and waiting for an hour she said she could do only 2 approvals which she did. Called again the next day and she did 3 more. Sadly ontario is a disaster and I don’t see how any approvals will be done ever there. I have bought and sold 15 guns outside of Ontario all after two sales to Ontario and those 15 have been approved and I am still waiting on Ontario. Sad.

Just spoke to Ontario CFO. They are still only on June 7th but can see the 8ths transfers up in queue.
I’m pretty peeved that my June 5th purchase didn’t get until June 22nd #5950xxx bus to private
But new staff is incoming and they are clearing days a bit quicker now

Thank you but not sure if this is correct. Today is week 12 for me and a friend of mine transfer within BC on June 30 and still waiting......he is at about week 16. Hopefully not much longer.

I sold an item to a CGN’er in Alberta, I’m in BC. Transfer went in on July 7th and we’re still waiting. Feel like it will probably be soon, I think last I heard Alberta was first week of July?
