    It is not just the laws, it is the media scare tactics. Every day there is a gun crime front page along with a mile long list of statistics. " This is the third time this week" or XX percent of this week's crimes involve a gun"

    Not that gun crimes should not be reported, but they seem to be so over focused on their descriptions etc. They have the public in total fear of one item when the actual chance of them being involved in a crime where a gun is used is miniscule compared to the chance of dying driving to get groceries or slipping in the tub.
