Wanna try my 308 Ruger? But seriously, it depends on many factors how the recoil is felt. I suspect the length of pull may be a problem for you since the type 81 cannot be adjusted. I would just get one of those shoulder pads at amazon for like $15.Originally Posted by Serge81

Amazon is great for stuff like that. Just search for universal recoil pads.
I'd seriously consider working on form though. I was mag dumping 6 mags at a time and never had an issue. At times I wasn't shouldering properly so recoil was a bit more than it should have been and never even came close to causing any shoulder pain. I'm also a pretty small guy for what it's worth.
Not trying to harp or anything, but it seems unusual for anyone to have a bruised shoulder from any 7.62x39 chambered rifle.
Same question, I’m sure I saw it not long ago but I went back a dozen pages and couldn’t find it. Went and sold my SA and LMG and kinda miss them now. Oh well.
