    What is your favorite CLP

Hey guys, what’s your favorite CLP to use, and why…

I really like the Lucas oil stuff, because it comes in an aerosol can. Which makes it really good for quick application.
Seems to do well keeping things clean and working well between cleanings.

What do you use and why…
Is there something better out there I should try…

A pump bottle of Breakfree works for me.

I used to use Breakfree...it's the Civilian equivalent to the US Military spec approved CLP.

I now use Ballistol as my general CLP...does everything that is required very well.
Like my Avatar, I lean to the right. Keep your Powder Dry

I like Remington Action Cleaner and then finish up the gun with Ballistol.

My personal go to CLP is Ballistol. It cleans good, preserves very well and lubricates well. It can be mixed with water to produce a milk like solution that is excellent for cleaning corrosive residue in combloc surplus ammunition and black powder firearms. It's only real negative is that it does start to congeal in colder temperatures.

Right after that is G96. It's an excellent cleaner, preserves very well and lubricates well. Doesn't freeze in colder temperatures and is proven to work in -40 degrees Celsius temperatures (RCMP tested it: https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/lbrr/...n28502-eng.pdf ). It's also easier to find than Ballistol in most stores.

The only other CLP I have any real experience with is the Sent-E CLP the CAF issues for weapons cleaning. That stuff performs on par with Ballistol, but it works in temperatures as low as -25 degrees from personal experience, and it's an excellent lubricant.

Found this test, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fibRewlndLg seems like full synthetic stuff takes the lead.

That's the one I use - good general cleaner. Keeps things lubed and keeps the rust away
