^If you buy a second rifle you'll have two mags. Mod one of the guns and have endless mags/options for it :)

Guys that have mod-ed the their guns might sell the mag it came with.

To be honest, I’m not comfortable modding the gun itself since it comes with a lifetime warranty and the alterations could void that…. I’ve heard that it has been pretty much bullet proof so far but still….
 
Hey guys I need your help! So I got the ammo and decided to load the mag that came with the gun. After reading that only single stuck mags will fit the gun, the mag that actually came with the rifle is double stuck( as one round sits a bit offside to the one on the bottom and not directly on top, so I guess the correct description would be staggered position of the rounds)! I already ordered the extra original H&K mags from Irunguns and those are single stuck! Did I make a mistake or what? I am getting confused with the issue…Irunguns assured me that the mag will fit but I also told them that it’s a single stuck….

Why don't you just put the magazine in your rifle and see if it fits? I am a bit confused here.

If you have a double stack compatible rifle, then both single and double feed magazines will work.

My advice: remove the two tabs in the receiver and use G36 mags. It’s not that difficult.

Jeffman is 100 percent correct. Your SL8 will accept either double or single stack mags. The single stack have a little play in them but they feed well and hold the bolt open on the last round.

Update I posted this in another thread regarding the use of single stack SL8-6 mags in a SL8-4 or 5. Hope this assists.
