Not that many want it on a “hunter” but after owning a Marlin dark the 45-70 muzzle break turns a thumper into something very tame! I’m not recoil sensitive the 45-70 is my favorite round and my 458 win mag in a close second. However for someone wanting to shoot a heavy round it can make a big difference but “ears” are a must even on that single hunting shot.

I'm guessing this winter they will announce the 336 30-30 and the PCC's will be announced sometime next summer.

Will Ruger be making any straight-grip Marlins? I really dislike pistol grip lever-guns. At one time I owned in excess of 40 Marlin levers and every one was a straight-grip!!!

Not very traditional but I’d really dig a 1895 Dark series with a straight grip walnut stock

It probably wouldn’t unseat my 1895 TSBL trapper as my favorite but could be close

Maybe I should buy one of these since I have a whole bag of brand new Wild West parts for it.

Wow crazy. That's twice as much as I paid for my GBL in 2019.

If it's any consolation, 2019 feels like it was 20 years ago...
