Type 79 and 85, even the NMD86 were prohibited a long time ago sadly...
I think this rifle hits a perfect sweet spot in the market.
The T81 is a great and reliable rifle, but it is a bit on the heavy side.
Also not as manouvreable and the ergonomics are not the best (at least that is my opinion, especially with the folder).
Not great for the bench shooting either, as the 30 rounder mags kind of get in the way and the accuracy is nothing to brag about.
In theory, this one should fix that, as the weight is irrelevant, since it is meant to be shot from a supported position anyway.
Also, in theory it should be able to produce a bit better accuracy and the 7.62x39 can still be found for somewhat reasonable prices (compared to 5.56 or 7.62 NATO).
It kind of scratches that SVD itch and if I can get anything under 4 MOA with Barnaul or Norinco ammo, I would be pretty happy with that.
"Gun control" is a feel good term, which is designed to disquise the globalist disarmament efforts under the pretense of fighting crime.

I am talking about 7.62 by 54R cartridge.
