Sig P320 Upgrade

I’m under the impression that if you check the serial number through the USA customers search of serial number it does not apply to Canadian purchases ?

It should work as that’s where they all originate from.
Have you entered yours to see what it says?

Going to do that later today Huk and will get back to you and others .
I hope I have not created a rabbit hole but I’m just wanting to get to the bottom of this to be SAFE !
To my memory it seems like I do not have the slimmer trigger though .Which if I’m not mistaken is one of the
Upgrades .
Again if I’m not mistaken thee are 2 seoerare issues
#1 The drop safe issue
#2 The trigger issue .
Both needing upgrades or are they done both at the time of an upgrade ?

Does this affect the newer, recently purchased (still waiting on) guns? Or just older items?
No serial number to check since I haven't received the transfer approval yet.

Member 1ABNDT has posted a picture on the other P320 thread of the differences in triggers .
My recently purchased within the last couple of months new P320 has the old trigger . I think if someone purchased a recent P320 from a retailer there is a chance it may have not gotten said upgrades if it was sitting on a shelf ?
As I mentioned there are 2 different and separate upgrades if I’m not mistaken ?

I bought a "new" P320 a couple years ago and it was a 2016 manufacture, so it hadn't been upgraded. MD Charleton was easy to work with - I just emailed them through the email on this page: https://www.mdcfirearms.ca/news_details.php?bid=22 shipped it off and got it back pretty quick.

They upgrade covers everything involved in the issue - the trigger, slide, striker, notch, etc. Very happy with how it all turned out.

I thiiiink the upgrade program might have ended in 2021 but I hope for your sake its still on. Best of luck!

my first p320 was in the recall. bought 2016 i think. Bought one more late 2019 and one this year. I sent the first one in for the upgrade just to be safe. But pre recall i ran that thing like a raped ape in several pistol and pistol/carbine courses. Thousands of drawing/holstering while hot. covered in mud and dirt by the instructor. disassembled at the firing line by the instructor and reassembled and fired while on the clock. No issues and it just ran. I wasnt the only one running them either. The online worries dont reflect my real world experience. ymmv

If someone could post a picture of their thinner trigger it would help . I have not tried to post pictures on here and don’t know how difficult it is .
