Make the commercial HVA 98's in 8mm look like a steal lol.
Bought a CZ600 LUX for the same price as these...holy.
I just bought a nice one on EE with a milled floorplate and excellent bore. These really appeal to me. It will make a great utility rifle. A bit of break-in time and I'm sure it will slick right up. I wonder when these were manufactured and for what original purpose?

Thanks. I guess the receiver is 1950-1952. Judging by the paper work photo on pg.1, it appears it was factory sporterized in 1977?

My Sporter arrived today. I have to say, I lile it alot. My expectations were low given some of the opinions on here. There's quite a bit of attention to detail and it feels quite light in the hands. It cycles beautifully. Mine has a high polished milled floorplate and trigger guard. The bolt parts are all nicely buffed and 'in the white'. The rest of the metal parts are deeply blued very much like the M70. The wood is also very nice and appears to be Elm. The bore is perfect. I can't wait to shoot it, and if it shoots well, it will be a keeper for sure.
Here's a few bad photos...

Mine is stamped "97" and the certificate indicates 97/12/05. So these are late 1997 builds. 27 year old conversions, clearly unfired, put on the market recently seems unusual.
