Looks like the commie coalition government is in full force.

Rachel Notley (AB) said yesterday, after the parliamentary session discussed the Alberta Sovereignty Act, that Trudeau agreed to "quash" any democratically legislated provincial sovereignty act with a federal level United Canada Act, whether constitutional or not. She later retracted her comments and deleted her tweets as "misspoken". Looks like her handlers had something to say about her outburst of honestly.

This is the level of overreach this government is prepared to do to retain and grow its power, while diminishing out basic rights.

The previous posts about ALL OUR GUNS is completely real, and we should not heckle over any specifics. This bill C-21 must be "quashed" in its entirely. Period.

Really enjoyed AB premiers podcast with Jordan Peterson. It was the first and only time I've heard her speak. She's on point.

I sold my benelli m4 during COVID and regretted it. I am looking at purchasing another. Do I have time to wait until the new year to do so? Is spring the earliest they can pass these new amendments to the bill? Or can they reclassify some firearms like they did with the OIC firearms ?

Because mags exceeding 5 rounds capacity for a semi auto are currently prohibited.
NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST TO DISCLOSE “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” Cesare Beccaria

I think the Liberals have finally reached to far.
I only mean this from the court of public opinion.

Many center and left leaning media publications are actually calling them out on banning of "Traditional Hunting Firearms"

We all know they wan to ban everything but there are still of lot of regular citizens in the middle of the road that actual have no issue with hunting. They wont ever go themselves but they understand that its of no harm to them or society. Maybe their Grandpa used to go?

They want handguns banned just cuz, and they want black guns banned cuz "WE ARENT THE US!!!, something something School shooting... " but when its pointed out in full colour pictures what they are trying to ban we are actually getting support!

We need to hammer this home.

Articles like this are perfect for that

The best time to buy a gun was 40 years ago, the second best time is today.

One may note--as in "there it was, gone"-- the single issue of urgent and immediate significance to me (and the odd 1 or 2 voters like me) conspicuous by its absence; namely restoration of gun ownership rights to we citizen-livestock penned into electoral districts across the country, as meager as they were before the socialist mob seized power.

Not a policy statement and not only not top of mind for the bureaucrats running the CPC, not even among the top 9 issues they think could buy votes and secure their jobs, just another bunch of rule-by-survey wannabes asking me what they need to be heard saying.

The irony is a simple 10th question could have secured millions of votes, unless it was considered impolitic to ask (in which case they could have added " - None of the above"). Better to be ambiguous and damned for offering faint hope than unreservedly damned as I now consider them to be.

All of that ranted, in fairness to Poilievre the survey doesn't bear his stamp of approval.
I got that same survey and dutifully filled it out in the hope that they'd added a write-in "other" field. No such luck, but I do intend to let them know that this, along with a couple of other Lieberal pit-Canadians-against-each-other policies are make-or-break for my CPC membership. I will vote for whichever leader supports repealing this legislation, and my political donations will follow suit.
