I sold my benelli m4 during COVID and regretted it. I am looking at purchasing another. Do I have time to wait until the new year to do so? Is spring the earliest they can pass these new amendments to the bill? Or can they reclassify some firearms like they did with the OIC firearms ?

They way it stands and what I have been reading/watching videos C21 will not pass as the NDP and even a few Liberals themselves agree that this is a big time over reach and are disgusted with what has been thrown in last minute

Take advantage of all of all the scardy cats that are selling their "possible" C 21 prohibs, I have seen M4s BNIB as low as 1800$ on EE which is a score, offer less iam sure one of the fear mongers will take it.

At this point I have scrolled thru the "new ban list" only once, and it was a fast scroll......

It made no sense to me; how when I began reading it everything was lumped together with the the old May 2020 OIC, I personally did not see anything new added, just the old OIC list.

And with this complete government overreach iam never going to scroll thru that list again and just continue on with business as usual.

I got that same survey and dutifully filled it out in the hope that they'd added a write-in "other" field. No such luck, but I do intend to let them know that this, along with a couple of other Lieberal pit-Canadians-against-each-other policies are make-or-break for my CPC membership. I will vote for whichever leader supports repealing this legislation, and my political donations will follow suit.

Roger that. I've written the following for the attention of Poilievre himself (whom I met once a while ago when he was stumping in my neck of the woods) since there is no CPC candidate in the district at the moment.

While I trust his staff, I don't trust the party.

Having sifted the various emails and websites can't figure out where to send it.

I don't mind a politician dismissing me as a crackpot (i.e., not coming out publicly in favour of the issue) as long as s/h/it's willing to throw away my vote as well. Rather be rejected by Poilievre rather than some flunky in the bowels of the CPC with no influence over the direction of the country (except through sabotage--the last refuge of vengeful flunkies everywhere).

To whom it may concern,

I was bemused and a little chagrined after reading to the bottom of the list of topics in your recent "Issue Survey" to us CPC members ("Tell us what matters to you") to discover the one pressing topic I'm actually passionate about did not make the cut.

The 9 topics that did make the list are within the pedestrian purview of government. The fact that they have become issues simply underscores the fact the current government is unfit--no debate from me. In my opinion however, incompetence aside government shows signs of transitioning from being a necessary evil to simply evil. In other words, in my opinion the survey does not accommodate larger issues unique to this government and perhaps to these times.

In my case I will vote for a government that promises to restore firearm ownership rights to where they were before the agenda-driven Orwellian mob seized power, as meagre I consider those rights to be, but in the spirit of compromise let's call our former rights "fair".

The ban-happy socialist compact might well have banned golf as guns (lets say, "for the deleterious effect on biodiversity") to the same effect: upset millions of law abiding voters, with otherwise zero effect on pretty much anything, the difference being in the case of gun ownership rights perhaps slouching a little nearer totalitarianism.
