8x56 is a strange configuration.
Let me know when the 15x56 is available.

Good morning adamg

Not really, it's for users that need the highest amount of light gathering and widest field of view. Leica do not have any plans for now to do a 15x56 rangefinder bino in the PRO range. They only do the 15x56 in the new Geovid R (without applied ballistics). The new Geovid PRO 42 and 56 replaces the exact sizes of outgoing Geovid 3200.com units, to which they also never added a 15x56 so I'm pretty sure we will NOT see a Geovid Pro 15x56. At least not for the foreseeable future.

Hey Robbie,

Good stuff! You’re always on top of these things. I’m curious to see what the 8x56’s end up being like. I have the latest generation of the Swaro EL Range but would prefer the AB interface over the Swaro proprietary one. It will be an interesting but tough comparison regarding the optics of the two with the different magnification and objective size but hopefully you’re able to provide us some real assessment of that when you have some in hand. I want low light 800 yard elk antler legality assessment so I’m stretching capabilities I’d imagine - maybe convince them to make some stabilized versions lol.

Anyway, thanks for keeping on top of things and I look forward to hearing your assessment of the 56’s.

Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words. I have already placed an order for all 3 variants, although ordering really only opens on Monday. I think the 8x56 is going to be a big hit, as they're not all that bulky compared to the 8x42's or even the 8x32's.

The 8x56 is only 1" wider than the 8x42's, and under 0.5" longer than the 8x42. And even compared to the Geovid Pro 8x32, the 8x56 is only 1" wider and 1.3" longer than the 8x32.

With the 56mm objective, they should have a massive low light advantage, especially given how much better the overall glass is compared to the previous 8x56 3200.com units.

I'll update here once I get some 8x56's in hand in April hopefully.

Cheers

Robbie

8x56 - $4859

They have also INCREASED the prices of the Geovid Pro 8x32 and 10x32's to $3914.

We still have plenty of Geovid Pro units that we can do a deal on - please just CALL me to discuss options.
