Are the Marlins still selling for that high over asking? I thought the new GBL (Guide) rifle was around $1500?

The steel blued version is $1399.00.

Most of the Ruger/Marlin 1895 Guide Gun (GBL) rifles I have seen in 45-70 retail at $1600.00 before taxes.

They are bringing a $2500.00 and more price tag on the EE and gun-post.

Demand verses production always seems to drive up pricing.

One can only assume CZ rifle prices will skyrocket if they are no longer made due to Colt buying the company.
