They must have added more, because it was showing out of stock for me earlier too.
No idea why, but its not new. Hi Point carbines in 45 and 40 have come with both 5 round pinned mags and regular capacity mags in the past. They're even listed in the FRT as some having 5 round mags, and some having 9.

I have 9-round mags that came with mine. The key, I guess, is this all-important marking on the mags that makes everything OK.....
I don't think the markings matter in this instance. I'd personally have no issues removing the rivet if I bought a 45acp Hi Point Carbine and it came with a 5-round mag..I have 9-round mags that came with mine. I was interested until I saw the weight…
Why can’t anyone make a .45 pcc in the 6-7lb range? Surely it’s not a recoil issue.
Will also reluctantly add that the price went from $549 to $649 within the last hour so there’s that too…
