The government had also intended to ban long guns that generate more than 10,000 joules of energy, or guns with a muzzle wider than 20 millimetres — two rules that would have rendered many firearms illegal.

According to OP those are no longer banned??

Can someone explain what this changes? Is there still a “list” of soon to be prohibited rifles, which have historically been non-restricted or restricted? Thanks

Then Pierre followed up with "the CBC still carrying the PM's water" and I had to stop chopping some veggies for a few seconds while I was laughing. Watch Trudeau go to his underground bunker for a week but no Sophie to play his Eva Braun. Maybe he'll take Butts then paste on his little square moustache and role play Adolph's last minutes lol.

The Liberals had hoped to have the 10,000 joules rule enshrined in law as part of the Criminal Code, requiring an Act of Parliament (a majority) to undo it.

The May 1 2020 OIC is still in place, so they're still banned.

In the OIC they originally only listed firearms that were chambered for calibers that hit the 10,000 joule mark and over while the same rifle in other calibers were still legal. The amendment listed the same rifles regardless of it it’s caliber was 10,000 joules or over. For example the Ruger no 1 was banned only if it was in 460 weatherby or larger while other chamberings were still legal. The amendment made all no 1s illegal which is now gone

Special allowances and considerations for First Nations not available to the general public amounting to a level required for their support like money and privileges so they can have what others cannot ,will probably take a couple of weeks to accomplish and garner NDP support for C21 and amendments already drawn up including evergreening before time runs out and the Bill fails.
Speed is of the essence because of the many and various oppressive contents like 10,00 joules , yacht signal cannons , 20 mm. muzzle, hand gun sale , and inheritance introincersions, shotgun bans ,that together will create large and varied resistance from all quarters against liberal throat ramming.

Long term the key to our survival is to get allies outside of our community in our corner and with them comes a force multiplier.

Too few here are inclined to think beyond winning the next skirmish then go back to their old ways.
Let's follow the USA example: https://project2025.afsp.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Toolkit_Safe_Firearm_Storage_CLEARED_508_2-24-20.pdf
