    Anyone else have Canada Customs hold gun parts for over two months then charge $16 to open the damned package ?

    Welcome to Canada Post , they like their pound of flesh. Check the billing,so much for opening and for taxes

    They charged you a fee to OPEN/INSPECT your package?!

    I'm not surprised to be honest. We import frequently with seacans and if CBSA wants to inspect the seacan, they will and send us the bill. Last time that was around $800.

    Big difference between a sea can and a postal package. No comparaison.

    Never -ever been charged for opening or inspection of an imported package. And I import a lot for my use and my buddies.
    They charge taxes only and duties if any.
    At one time they had handling fees but I have not seen that on any invoice for a long time, 3- 4 years.
    When they were charging some..it was like $5.
