    Deactivated Rifles for display!

I've received conflicted reports on displaying Deactivated Rifles... for example, my buddy owns a studio in the GTA, Ontario and wants to display a deactivated rifle - either as is or in a display case. Does he need a PAL as well? What are the steps he has to take to do this? Trigger Guard?

For the kind vets here, remember I posted this in the "newb" section

    Just had to Google it.

    RCMP
    INFORMATION SHEET
    Deactivation Notice

The following information explains certain parts of the
form and will help you answer some of the questions.
You should read the instructions as you fill in your
form. If you are still unsure about a question, call
    1 800 731-4000 for assistance.
    DEACTIVATION GUIDELINES
In order for the firearm to be considered deactivated by the
Canada Firearms Centre, the firearm must first be
confirmed by a gunsmith, to no longer be considered a
firearm as per the definition of a "firearm" in S. 2 of the
    Criminal Code.

No PAL required for the purchase or display of a deactivated firearm.

First and for most, make sure it was deactivated properly.

I should’ve clarified, yes it would be a purchase for an official deactivated rifle. The plan is not to purchase one and then go through the steps of having it deactivated

Collectorssource. ca some good ones. They are not inexpensive. You could always buy airsoft versions to hang on a wall too.

Thank you, will take a look.

Airsoft are nice but to say “this is a real one” sounds better
