Black and Green - forum titles

Tried searching for an explanation but cannot find one.

What does "Black and Green" refer to on these forums? And how do "Black and Green Precision Rifles" differ from "Target and Precision Rifles"?

    Insight and help appreciated!

Made me scratch my head too. Western Modern Design. Mass produced firearm platforms with ergonomic features and modularity tend to be made of metals and synthetics with shades of black, dark grey, olive green, dark earth, tan. In short Black and Green. Target and Precision rifles may be black and green, but not all black and green rifles are precision. Red is Eastern.

Thanks! Should edit that to include the "Green and Black" descriptor as that's what I searched for but came up empty.

Still doesn't explain why it's "Black and Green" though - any insight into that?

As far as I know, choose green and black to hide from enemies, inspired by the forest with the main tone being green of trees and black of the earth. I think so.

Green guns are good for the environment, black guns contribute to the carbon footprint.

In the current environment, maybe it's an attempt to not feed the trolls. Black and green is a better term than military style.
