Selling a handgun in Canada right now?

I want to sell my handgun but sales are only permitted by the government to 3 designated groups. Is there a place to post handguns for sale on this forum or another that would get exposure to this group? Its a small subgroup of shooters.

Im selling my brand new Glock 48 MOS (black)

No, the Pistols & Revolvers FS sub-forum here has been closed.

You can get in touch with auctions like Switzer's or Kidd - I know they auction off handguns with only the approved buyers allowed to bid.

There was also a business or two here on CGN who were looking to buy... other than that handguns cannot be listed for sale here - not sure why since the CFO would have to approve any sales but it is what it is...
Always looking for guns made 1890 or earlier - class doesn't matter, even prohibiteds.

Should you go through the process to gain access to the Equipment Exchange, you will find that there is no EE section for handgun sales on CGN.
Olympic shooters aren't going to be interested in a G48.
There are businesses authorized to acquire handguns. Those involved in the movie industry might be interested.
    Export is another option.

Kidd Family Auctions is holding a handgun auction on the 30th of June.

This is a rather unusual first post. Makes one wonder...

Some of the stores with ranges have been saying they would buy handguns, I think RDSC or Calgary shooting center have said they could and would buy them.

Olympic shooters have to apply to buy a handgun and it must be for their type of shooting.
Unless it’s a Hamerli - Walter - Pardini - forget it. Olympic shooters are supported by trainers and organisations, and I am sure those guys will help their shooters to go through the new rules. Because of all the new hurdles..it make senses to buy new for them.

For tacticool guns - right now - only dealers can buy and the other option is destruction. Very limited - narrow market of dealers who would want guns - tie up $ - for something they cannot sell thereafter.
Don’t expect a big payoff if you find a dealer willing to buy it..it will be below dealer cost..

Another option - sell it as a complete parts kit minus frame. I think you might get pretty close to what you would expect for a complete gun. You can keep the frame and certificate - in case you want to revive it later and rules would still be same as now - you can buy a full kit minus frame from IRunguns for the price of complete new gun and your Glock is back in business.

Looking into export back to the US might be your best option. Check out Irunguns or Prophet River and see if they can help.

You can phone a couple of dealers to see if they have any interest ; but you are better off to keep it at this point .
