It's kind of relative to your level of mechanical inclination and metalworking experience/ability. Metal will need to be removed, precisely/equally from both sides of the slide, until it fits. This is easy for some, and impossibly difficult for Bubba. As a machinist, I'd attempt it without a second thought.

Sounds difficult to do precisely with a hand file and a vice. Might have to just send it in to Wolverine and have them do it.

Not difficult, provided you have the tools:

    - a good set of calipers, as you'll be measuring your existing slide and comparing with the new slide to figure out how much material to take off
    - a set of square stones or files
    - a jig of some sort to hold the slide square while you work on it on your bench vise, I 3d printed one

any concern with the finish being gone since you need to file off material?

No concerns, if you pull your slide from your factory Shadow 2, you'll notice that the outward facing part of the rail is unfinished.

Sweet. Machinist buddy said it shouldn't be an issue doing this.

Anyone know any gunsmiths around the GTA/southern Ontario that they would recommend for getting the slide fitted to the frame?

Can anyone recommend a gunsmith in southern Alberta who knows his or her way around CZ pistols and could do this?

Try site sponsor Double Tap Sport in Mississauga. Josko builds race guns for IPSC shooters, so this should be a straightforward job for him.

Have any of these hit dealers yet? I’m curious on price. I got hosed on the purchase of my shadow 2 during the rush last year buying new from a dealer. It hurts to know how much it’s going to cost me to get it OR.
