So...we just found this fully loaded and ready to go OG 870 Shorty Shotgun in the safe. Not a clue we even had it, Joe says he made it up about a year ago while he was making one for a friend. Anyways, it is a brand new Rem 870 chassis that we modified into one of our OG 870 Shorty SHotguns and then pimped out with all the fancy kit :

-Our original Performance Package consisting of : Wilson Combat Dome Head Safety, Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor and our CNC aluminum follower
-A 12 inch 'Junior' length Hogue butt stock
-Drilled and tapped receiver to the factory Remington hole spacing
-A Dlask Arms Corp. Picatinny rail that we modified to be used with Ghost Rings
-Trijicon Scattergun Tech Ghost Ring Sights with front and rear Tritium inserts
-Dlask Arms Corp. CNC hand guard for Shorty Shotguns
-Dlask Arms Corp. hand stop
-Dlask Arms Corp. 'Happy Cap'........ just because

This isn't going on the website since there is only one in stock ready to go now. No modifications, sold with the kit it wears right now. The price is $1700.00 + tax and shipping if required. If you are serious about owning one of our hand made fireball makers then now is your chance.

I’ve been poking around a bit to mod out my 870 tactical as a lightweight grizzly gun to stuff in my backpack. How light is the one above? And/or what would I need to to lighten mine up?

Oh man, if you'd have found this 6 months ago I'd be holding this while browsing the forum instead of a Mossberg.

Wish I had the money.

Any plans on doing another run of the 8.5inch 870s?

Yes. We have 7x in the works with this latest batch of barrels we made. Joe modded the chassis' and parts yesterday and I finished the barrels. We will engrave them today and then blast them and take them for bluing on Tuesday. Turn time for bluing is usually about 5 days so that means they would be on the website the day y'all get back from overdosing on turkey and giblet gravy.

As I mentioned before I will post up a noting here on CGN roughly a day iin advance so all the folks that feel left out at sudden product releases can have a chance to buy one.
