Was anybody really expecting something else ?!
Left wing, right wing, they belong to the same bird.
This isn't a "win"
Still can't use them, sell them, or give them away
Waiting with cautious trepidation for the OIC challenge judge's decision later this month... Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
I’m not sure why the CCFR had to wave down the government to “not extend the amnesty” because all that did was draw attention and result in the opposite effect. If you wanted to demonstrate incompetence you should have just kept quiet and left the government to deal with the problems they created. That’s when attention should have been drawn.
Now they will use this as a political issue for the next election, do the same old song and dance.
better than having them taking away and getting absolutely nothing for them
I think you are missing the point. If the amnesty had expired, it would have turned a lot of people into criminals over night through the sheer incompetence of the government. Could you imagine the optics on that? There was no viable plan ever put in place by the LPC to prevent this from happening. From my perspective this would lead to grandfathering and it would have been up to the CPC to turn it around legislatively.
Lastly in regards to your comment, about taking them away and getting absolutely nothing …what situation do you think you are in right now? You paid for a product that you cannot use and it’s locked away in a safe/container.
