Remington to End its Production in Ilion, New York

It is also possible that the cost of living in Georgia is lower than New York ?
So someone might be able to live on $7.25/hr in Georgia and not in New York ?

Cost of living isn't a factor in the companies bottom line.

Also judging by a quick Google search it looks like houses are cheaper in Ilion than Lagrange, GA. (Both renting or buying)

Nobody can live comfortably on $7.25/hr, rent for a 1 bedroom apartment is $800-1000+ in either city based on what's available on Zillow, $7.25/hr is only $1160 every 4 weeks.

I hope they do well in Georgia.

I do too. I just feel bad for the workers in New York, a lot of whom already went through the turmoil of the bankruptcy (including being laid off), left other jobs to come back to Remington, and were told 2 years ago their jobs were safe.
