    It was the GSG 15 SD (SCAR clone special edition that had a fully "suppressed" barrel shroud instead of the regular barrel). The notice was that the manufacturer used a shorter barrel/shroud than the Standard edition that resulted in accidental restricted SCAR-15's being sold. The notice said that replacement of the shroud with a longer one would keep the rifles Non-restricted.

    RCMP is inconsistent of how firearms get measured.

    Yes they do, OAL length in firing condition is end to end(not including accessories like lights etc)
    Assuming the brake is torqued on and cannot be removed without tools.

    Brakes don't count for barrel length however.

    Agreed. The lab is absolutely brutal. I understood that you were talking about the gsg16. Tmk, this was never the case.

    That is not correct, brakes and stock pads do count towards AOL. We went through that when we had gotten the TROY PAR approved for Canada.

    We have written correspondence that states that.
