The later ones, 2107, 2018 were head and shoulders above the 2011, 2012's in terms of quality.
Barrels and recievers were made until Dec. 2010 in Connecticut but barrels were stamped during assembly on Ilion.
The "transition" rifle years were awful, QA initially better in 2015.
I have a 2018 Guide that if you were blind folded you'd be hard pressed to tell it from a 1980's made gun.
 
I paid just over 2k after taxes for my Trapper and thought that was excessive. I could not imagine spending a dime more for a lever action. They’re great rifles to be sure, but they are not worth that price tag craze or not.

I think most gun owners would agree with your statement, the problem is, if one does not pay these prices you will not enjoy the rifles.........:(

This. I'm sure that Dad meant 2017,2018. I've had 3 "Remlins" built during those years...still have 2. A 45-70 1895CB and an 1894LE in .45Colt. (sold the .357 1894 when my wife started shooting the .45Colt). All worked flawlessly. When I got the Remlin 1895CB, I sold a JM Marlin 1895 that I had. Both rifles shot the same and felt the same, so I sold the JM and had enough money left over to help fund another project. Don't regret the decision at all. Ruger/Marlin is now starting to make the 1894CS in .357.

Interested in the S&W model 1854, fit and finish looks great on these. It’s a bonus that they’re compatible with Marlin 1895 furniture.
 
Want

holding out for the trapper in 45-70. Second choice would be Henry all weather and then marlin dark.

Hope I can snag one when they come to Canada
