NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN,,this IS NOT 1940's germany, there are millions of firearms in private hands, and 99% are unknown who has them or where they are,,they tried to spread their fear mongering a long time ago when they where trying to get firearms owner to register their gun in the original Long Gun registry, they never ever reached 15% complinacy from gun owners,so 85% of owners never registered sh"t,and that was back then,in todays political climate they wouldn't even get to 5%,not to mention we are right up against the country that has more guns than all other countries combined,so good luck trying to force this WEF bullsh!t.,that's Libtard dreamworld that wont happen in our lifetime, the guns will ALWAYS be there, that's all there is to it,
I tend to agree. Even in the US, the tide is changing and average people who may have wanted a change in 2020 from Trump, now realize how much worse it actually is when the socialist agenda tries to get pushed down people's throats. We are seeing similar pushback in Canada. I don't think it will ever swing to the other side, but it's like the old adage, "you don't know what you have until its gone". This is why I think Pierre's message of freedom resonates with so many people. It's not really a partisan thing - deep down inside, regardless of political stripe, most people want to just be left alone and make their own choices. Sure, you have the vocal progressive left. But it's like the Polytechnique group - they are small in numbers but they seem bigger due to being boisterous and trying to inject themselves into every policy, and they are unencumbered by a weak assenting prime minster with no backbone (kind of like the president the US has now).
That said, I would never be so presumptuous to say that we have nothing to worry about; that would be a foolhardy presumption. But thankfully the political winds are moving in the direction of some semblance of common sense again.
