Your at least $500 short. Shotgun snobs, the "B" gun folks will tell you a good gun is minimum $2500. Might find something good used for $2k. For $1500 your getting down into the Turkish guns all the "B" folks sneer about.
A free society must outlaw harming innocent people to function, but when we seek to curtail what all of us can do, rather than holding each of us responsible for what we actually do, we give up on freedom itself.
A good used Browning Citori is around that price range. May not have changeable chokes though.
