"I literally just directly quoted your use of colour revolution techniques..."
When Ruger is on point they crush it.
Some of my higher end rifles sit in the safe while I grab my plastic stocked American Gen 1 and shoot 200rds in a weekend.
That particular Gen 1 Ranch is going on 6000rds now and it is slick as snot on a doorknob and has been dead nuts reliable.
"The older I get, the better I was."
I have a Gen II. It has some neato features like AR mag compatibility and cerakoting but I prefer the shape, feel, balance and overall cohesiveness of the Rem 700. And that ejection! Straight and clean.
The Gen II overall feels rough and chunky without much refinement. I also don't like the Savage-esque safety trigger and would have liked to have seen something more like their LC-6 trigger.
I appreciate this rifle for what it is but it really feels alien to me. Hopefully it grows on me. We're it not for the 300blk chambering I would have looked elsewhere.
Maybe I'm just an R700 kind of guy. I don't much like Tikka's either. Tried those and sold them. I do like the M77's though, they're not super refined but are robust and reliable with a nice feel in the hands and they get better with age.
