Norinco 1911 9mm?

Damn NP29's are much beloved by those who were smart enough to grab 'em while they were available. Sadly, I'm not one of 'em, so I have to make due with a $99.00 Tokarev.

Sure be nice if CanadaAmmo were to bring in a 40' container of 'em.

Hint hint...;)

I've seen a couple of 9mm 1911 Colt Commander (right name?) pistols show up once in a while, needless to say, they sell immediately.

Cheers,
Barney:D

Here is my NP-29
I put her up against any Trojan or Colt for fit, finish, reliability and accuracy.

For my 2 NP29's I used all these brands with super success: Metalform, Pachmayr, Colt, MecGar. Any single stack 1911 9mm magazine will work. I loved my Norcs!!

I've got an NP28 which is the double stack 9mm. Great gun for what it is.
Only problem is I'm a lefty and can't find an ambi safety for it because it's a bit wider because it's a double stack.

Hey Riflechair,

Did you Parkerize that gun yourself or have it done professionally?

Also, did the slide have to be machined to accept that rear sight?

Here's mine with Crimson Trace grips.

Mine has been super reliable with ball and with JHP.

I even ATC'd it a couple of times, years ago in an M7 tanker rig.
