No other manufacturer has better supported and supplied the shooting sports than STI, and now with the introduction of their new sporting rifles they are catering to a whole new class of shooters. STI’s legendary reputation for reliability and accuracy is well represented by this rifle, and shooters everywhere will quickly realize the advantage it gives them.

Chambered in .223 Remington the 16" 410 SS barrel features a 1:8 twist with a mid-length gas system. Featuring a Nordic Tactical Compensator and JP Trigger group, what really sets this rifle apart from the rest of the pack is the custom STI Valkyrie hand guard and gas block. The Sporting Rifle has M4 feed ramps for improved feed reliability and a mid-length gas block to reduce recoil.

The hand guard is predrilled and tapped on the top and bottom with 1" hole spacing to accept JP rails and features slots (both cosmetic and functional) with 1/2" centers which allows the customer to use T-nuts to mount add-on side mounted rails at virtually any angle. The exclusive STI Valkyrie Tactical gas block features cosmetic design cuts to better match the STI hand guard and sports a Picatinny rail on the top.

The unique STI Valkyrie Competition hand guard has all the same great features as the Tactical model, with a 12" OA length for increased stability for the competitive Shooter. The STI Valkyrie Competition Gas Block is light weight and concealed under the hand guard. The entire rifle has an Anodized finish with black Teflon coating to provide a durable, attractive finish that will hold up to even the most demanding shooting. And best of all, it’s covered by STI International’s unrivaled warranty and customer service.

Had these rifles at the live fire event for exhibitors at CFSAC. Soldiers and RCMP got to shoot them using the supplied ammo. Didn't matter who shot it, all came back with a grin from ear to ear. The light triggers and the compensator blew them away.

Standing off to the side, I never saw anyone with muzzel rise.

They sure were. Only problem i had with that expo was everything had a silencer on it, and no one would let me have one!

Still really liking mine....I love the comp that it comes with....scares the bejesus out of unsuspecting RO's that are too close..lol.
I have some handloads worked up with 55gr vmaxs and 53 gr smks that shoot 1 1/2" at 200 meters ...and the flames are spectacular with the 335 powder!
The only thing I would have changed is getting the longer handgaurd and low profile gas block...I never shoot iron sights now!

I just got mine this morning...sweet..sweet..sweet. I have had a couple Armalites (carbines in 14.5 and 16")...but this one with the nice a2 style stock, and very nice trigger kinda makes them seem boring. installed one JP rail at 9oclock, an Eotech and an ERGo grip. Can't wait to sight it in.
