SHOT SHOW 2010 - Pistols - HK, Tarus, colt....

    Some new products:

Colt Rail Gun of the XSE series (no, it is not an electronic rail gun....) -MSRP 1055

Tarus has a few variant of the existing line - the rubberized judge

And the long slide 24/7 - this is a yet to be determined item, depending on the result of interest generated at the show.

    H&K P30 "S models"

There's a new P30 DA/SA model with a new safety lever. The S models seem identical to the previous models in every way except for the new safety lever, which allows the user to safe the gun while cocked in SA mode. The trigger reset and trigger pull feels exactly the same as the regular DA/SA gun. Unlike the HK45, the decocker is not built into the safety, but is located at the rear of the frame just left of the hammer.

    P30s now come in .40 S&W.

Hopefully these new models will trickle down to the P30L, but the HK rep only knew about the models planned for the US.

I sold my P30-L as I want the S version in 9mm. I think it would be a good production gun. At one time I hated thumb safeties,...Now I feel my grip is much better having one.

    Vltor is funny:

"hello, can you show us the newest and greatest products you have?"

"hmm, we have absolutely nothing new this year."

    ** Silence***

    "Any new stuff at all?"

    "No, we don't"

    BREN TEN

    VLTOR
VLTOR had on display two sizes of their FORTIS pistol, which is based on the Bren Ten. It will be chambered in 10mm and .45 Auto, and what they had on display were 10mm versions.

The Bren 10 looks a lot like a tanfoglio,...or armalite pistol. The way the grip goes in it probably uses the short hammer springs as opposed to the long (CZ) springs. grips and I bet some internals are compatible with the Tanfoglio/CZ family.
