Once the Federal Long Gun registry is gone, my registration certificates will go with it. Whether I elect to opt in to a provincial one remains to be seen. Like I said and I stand by it, most of us fell for the registration=confiscation thing before, I don't think as many will fall for it again. Just my two cents.
Also, some people seem to think that we have no property rights in Canada. If that is the case, how can the provinces regulate under their constitution property which the Canadian Constitution allows no rights to anyway. That would mean that the provinces would have to acknowledge property rights first. If they can get away with using convoluted logic then so should we all.
This is laughable. I can't see how provincial politicians could possibly "re-sell" the registry concept to their constituents when the program has been a failure on a national level while using unlimited sums of federal funds in the process.
Sadly, I can see Ontario and Quebec favoring this approach, however, I can't see the populace wanting to pay for it with inevitable tax increases.
I can tell you that Nova Scotia wouldn't be a willing participant to it.
Your right for Quebec and Ontario, they will impose that upon us and beleive it or not, most of the populace will want it!!! There is a huge anti-gun lobby in Quebekistan and Bantario, run by shootings victim's parents. I mean you cant blame them for being angry, but somebody should explain to them that a registry wont help!
Quebec'PM said that he will implant a registry as soon as the fed takes it away. Pfffff...liberals...
Why is every time Harper opens his mouth, I feel less right wing?
