Chaparral Sharps Rifle Parts

I've been trying to get parts for my rifle for over a year with no success.I emailed and phoned John but the parts never arrive.I'm told they're available but I've never received them.Why is this?I can't use the gun without the lever follower spring.I also ordered a sear and leaf main spring.Norval
 
If I can be so bold as to ask, what happened to those parts in the first place? If there is parts failure on these Sharps copies, readers would like to know this.
 
Not a parts failure.

It wasn't a parts failure.I lost the spring and follower for the lever.I ordered a spare main spring and sear. The gun is an excellent shooter.John looked after me.
