Can I loan a non-restricted shotgun to a friend to take hunting (he has his PAL) for an extended period, if I send the registration cert. with him?

Can someone explain what the registration certificate is for a non-restricted shotgun?

Ten years ago (when this thread was started, wink wink) there were registration certificates for all non restricted firearms. In 2012 the requirement to register non restricted ended.

My brother has been keeping and using my Browning Silver for more than 2 years, and it's all perfectly legal as long as he keeps the gun's registration papers with him.

In your case Klenzer, Since its non restricted, Yes you can. Just give him the reg. papers and bam good to go.
