    Just add a thread protector and it should be good to go. So does anyone enjoy the irony of "freedom loving americans" being more restrictive than "a repressive chinese regime"

    I think a nice little CZ bolt action in 7.62/39 with irons and scout mount would be a better idea

    It was mentioned somewhere (can't remember) that Americans don't get the cheap X39 stuff that we do up here.

    So maybe their thinking is why bother when 223 and 308 are probably cheaper?

    What the masses will buy.........

    Repressive regimes never had a problem with flooding other countries with their weapons. Just think of Soviet Union.

    Cheaper to shoot for sure if you aren't reloading, but about the same price or more to build unless you get a good deal on a used CZ and do the work yourself.

    They are commonly available used. There are a ton of LE no.5s in Canada and they are cheap, $300-$400.

    Gotta agree with Dorian Gray on this one, I'll keep my No.5 and pass on the $1000 Ruger.
