SHOT SHOW 2011 - AR shooters RCBS AR series dies

Got deeper into my crappy writing, and found this gem,
So I dug out the press release

The new RCBS® AR Series is a must for the progressive reloader. It features a Small Base sizing die and a new Taper Crimp seating die. This combination makes reloading easier for AR-style or semi-auto shooters. The Small Base sizer guarantees that the cartridge will re-chamber. The Taper Crimp Seater is more forgiving when various case lengths are loaded at the same time. Case neck crimp bulges and buckled shoulders are virtually eliminated when Taper crimping is used with cannelured bullets.

I find it funny that the "Distinctive black RCBS® die box" is listed as a feature and or benefit.

Ohhhh, they gotta be good they are in a 'tactical' black box. LOL!

Interesting, I'm still new to reloading, but is it worth while to get this set? Or will my dick stay on if I continue to use my regular rcbs dies and lee crimp die?

I wonder if they sell the tactical black box seperatley from the dies?

I love the current Dillon dies I use on my 1050, but they really deserve to be in a tactical black box.
You know you are a real gunnut when you start practicing trigger control on power tools.

WWJMBD? What Would John Moses Browning Do?

It will stay on more securely with the lee crimp die. Way better than a taper crimp as RCBS is offering.

My semi-famous progressive reloading video, and getting-there high-volume 223 video.

Assuming you mean the Lee FCD.

Don't miss the point of the dies. They are designed for the volume reloader with a progressive press.

I agree the Lee FCD is likely a better crimp, but I'm old enough to remember the days when a taper crimp worked just fine.
