standard .375". For proper fitting be sure to work only one side of the
dovetail to keep the dovetail straight.
Rossi dovetails are .160" deep and +/- .390" wide are they not?

If one checks around the web for Rossi dovetail dimensions they will
find that older Rossi's with the barrel band mounted front sights
will have dovetails averaging from .390" to .400".

The newer Rossi DT's average out to .387". Both my newer Rossi's
    (.454 mag. 20" & .44 mag. 16") have dovetail cuts at .380".
So I either fluked out on having 2 Rossi's with tighter dovetails or
Brownell's sent me special sized Marble's sights.(Don't think so, as
I did'nt specify what gun they were going on.)

As seen in the pics, the Marble's sights fit right & tight in the dovetails
on my Rossi .44 and note that in order to get the Marble's .538" high
front sight to clear the barrel band, you must grind back the front face of
    the sight.

All I can say is try the Marble's sights on new Rossi's and work careful
    when fitting them.

It would make sense for Marble's to be slightly oversized so it can be custom fit to a loose or out of spec dovetail.

That's valuable information - it does open a host of new options. Thanks for sharing shell shucker.

I cannot believe you asked that on a DEALER thread dedicated to the gun, in which the price is mentioned.

The gun IS available - wanstalls sells them but unfortunately they tend to sell out as soon as they get some in, and then you have to wait for the next batch.

Wanstalls also sells the Chiappa mare's leg (which is very nice). it costs more but it's a nice gun and an inch shorter than the rossi.

i have the rossi in 44 which i bought from wanstalls. You can pm gary to get an idea of pricing and when the next batch is in. I know of one other store in the lower mainland who had a rossi in, but it was in 357 mag.

I had a look at the Chiappa in the store and it has a very nice finish but is a bit out of my budget.

I looked on the Wanstalls site but the Rossi is not listed, hence my question.

WEll like i said i know of one in the lower mainland, don't know what they're asking for it. PM me if you want the name of the store. It was a 357 i believe

otherwise, ask gary to put you on the list. I don't know when the next delivery is due.

There are 50 people in line for ranch hands at wanstalls. These things are like gold in canada. The henry and chiappa are easier to find, but the 44 is Very difficult to find in Canada right now.
