    John:

have a look at post #46 in this thread.

    http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum...d.php?t=535030

    Dsynk says in part,

This has actually has come a really long way in the last while.

I've been involved in several web development projects that required to be able to collect realtime rate quotes from various service providers based on source, destination, dimensions, weight, insurance, etc and in turn providing accurate rate quotes based on that.

Once you have this information on hand, it's trivial to automatically select the cheapest service provider, or leave it to the customer to choose a specific provider based on preference.

I'd be more then happy to answer any questions you have regarding this, or other web development or e-commerce questions.

Or, post #14 in "update your web sight" (sic).

Gunnutz who want to help out.

Thanks for digging up the quote nntw.

    The offer certainly still stands.

I can appreciate that comments posted on a forum can be hard to take seriously, especially without the vetting of appropriate credentials and experience of the individuals making them, but I can gladly provide the relevant information for examination to John on request.

You're welcome! I hope something good comes of this- for you, for John and Marstar.... and for Gunnutz in general!

    They don't have one !
Pre-orders are horrible for everyone involved. They never go smooth. We will not be doing a pre-order to bankroll this project.

so is it considered an online store or mail order business? with all the bitches about the web site and email service from marstar it must be an old fashioned mail order business trying to become an online store not quite hitting the mark.

People are quick to complain about items being out of stock or there site isn't up to date. But you never hear anything from them when they need a gun part and Marstar is the only company that has one in stock.
I general people complain only when something isn't going there way. It's a bit childish that they rather go on this site and whine about it, instead of calling on the phone. That's where you get the real answers to your questions. Call the number and you might even talk to John himself, then tell him your concerns. Believe me it works faster that way.

John, I've known dsynk for over 5 years and he won't let you down. We've worked on a number of IT projects together and he doesn't talk s**t, he really knows his stuff and doesn't cut corners.

Besides, if you hire him to do some work, you'll end up getting all your money back as he has a serious addiction to "kit" and he's likely to spend double the project cost on buying stuff from you
