My experience with UPS and Canpar was they would not ship Ammo for me, but do ship for business.
If I were you I would ask someone at the local Gun shop if they would be willing "to ship your ammo to yourself" and you could offer to buy them a jug for doing it plus the cost of shipping
I had a friend who owns a tackle shop help me out that way earlier this year to ship some ammo.

Wouldn't want anyone to get into deep doo doo by taking some information the wrong way and ship.
A guy last month has had a restricted firearm confiscated and sounds like more than a PIA trying to figure out what/who/ is wrong and who is responsible for the mess they are in.( shipping expedited )
Anyone wishing to ship ammo needs to read the stickies and or go to the major courier/ mail delivery folks and find the information on how to ship ammo legally.
