    Sounds like folks are either really happy or really disappointed with Gunnar.
    It would be nice to hear from him and how things are going at Armco since he is actively posting again on CGN.

    experience

    had a trade worked out where he agreed to an equal trade we pay shipping on our own guns, he asked for my info and cert# for gun to do transfer, then he tells me 2 days later he needed a 300$ difference or no deal, i had another guy wanting the gun, but in good faith i told him it was traded to another man, he was ok with that, tells me if your deal falls through let me know, this gun was a 1000$ item, so when i heard this from armco about a 300$ difference, i immeadiately messaged back gent who offered a cash amount of my ask price of 1000$ for it, then i get" i wish you would have messaged sooner i bought another gun" so this hangup from armco costed me 1000$, for me being a nice guy and holding a deal made, ill never do it again, i did get a message from armco staing he never told me about an even deal? but he asked me for my license info and mailing info
    before he negotiated a deal which was already made? i just think it was unfair, ive since made a sale on that gun, i wasnt rude to him but he didnt keep his end of the deal

    I have done several transactions with Gunnar and never a problem , I have been dealing with Gunnar since 1996 and consider a friend also , yes he does sometimes take some time in getting back to you but you also have to realize the amount of emails, phone calls, and faxes he recieves, I recommend Gunnar to anyone who asks and will continue to do so, I also think its great that he now has Clarence Weatherby working with him as a partner, it should free Gunnar up to look after the sales instead of having to do everything, my mine issue with all this " bashing " is instead of complaining talk to Gunnar and deal directly with him. I had one problem only and that one time and it was resolved in a matter of 2 emails , so what is really the problem, it sound like to me just some whiners in the crowd , my question to you whiners is " do want some cheese with that " , please note I know its sounds like I am defending Gunnar and I am ...

    Fact that You had a good experience doesn't mean that the others are lying about their problems with Gunnar. I experienced first hand that he is lying to his clients. If calling me and others "the whiners" is all You can come up with it says a lot about You.

    Are you even reading this thread?

    The point is that Gunnar only responds to those he wants, and he ignores those he doesn't want to deal with.

    Almost all of these issues are from lack of communication on Gunnars part, or even outright lies from his end, as Nestor has already explained.

    If he was only dealing locally and had a storefront these issues would not be possible as customers would show up at his place, but it is obvious that he takes advantage of the internet business system, making it next to impossible to get anywhere until he chooses to act.

    Read the thread!

    If you can say you wouldn't be "whining" if half of this stuff happend to you than come back and tell us about it but I don't think anyone would put up with such BS, and why would they with all the good dealers out there who actually acre about their business and reputation.

    I dealt only once with Gunnar at Armco, believe it or not, but it was the best deal ever...
    bought a prohib, price was negotiable and very good. The gun arrived in exactly 6 days after my CC was charged

    @ Nestor , I have not said the other folks that have had " problems " with Gunnar are not unfounded or even untruthful , all I am saying is you only seem to hear the bad dealings not all the great dealings that customers and friends have had with Gunnar , just my 2 cents ...

    I thought they were just whiners?

    A few short years ago all I read on CGN about Gunnar were good things.....not so much in the last couple years.

    My one and only deal with Gunnar was a bit of a let down but no where near as much as some of the other "whiners"

    Also it's normal for people to be more vocal when they are wronged then when they receive proper treatment.....but in Armco's case it seems to be a negative trend right now for some reason.

    Gunnar used to post lot's of helpful tips and pass along his knowledge but it seems to me that he now posts mostly for sale or profit. Nothing wrong with making money but something definitely changed since I've been a member here reading posts both by and about Gunnar.

    Well guys unfornately Gunnar has had some medical issues and still is going thru things , you may not think it is an excuse for not dealing with the " issues " at hand , but I am aware of what medical conditions he has had and is continuing to deal with , so I truly understand what is going on and will continue to support Gunnar in any way I can , both personally and financially , as he is a true friend ...

    While I understand and respect your loyalty toward Gunnar I can't wrap my mind around the idea of calling me and the others "the whiners" presented in your previous post. I also can't accept a business practice that is basing on lying to the clients which is my personal experience with Armco.
    Because I can't post the PMs that I received from people about their problems with Gunnar we all are missing the bigger picture here. Picture that is very far from being perfect.
