Sphinx has appointed Double Tap Sports as a exclusive distributor for IPSC and IDPA market for Canada. We have Production and Standard model in stock and will be showing them at the upcoming IPSC Ontario Provincials in Kingston. We are hoping to have the Open pistol by then as well.

If anyone does not recognize the name (surely there must be someone) their mission statement is simple: make the finest production pistols in the world. Period.

Priced accordingly. :HR:

Fondled one at Shot. Felt well made and very heavy. I thought the quoted price was very high, but without having shot it, I reserve final judgement.

I think everyone will want to know these 2 questions:

1) Will these accept CZ75 magazines?
2) What holsters will fit these models? They appear close, but different to a cz75, maybe a shadow holster will fit seeing as how there is a rail?

we have Ghost Holster in stock for the Sphinx, not sure if Blade Tech has them just yet.
I tried CZ and Tanfoglio 9mm mags and they did fit in the Production gun.
Standard and Oped are designed to take STI mags.

Hi, I cant seem to find a lot of info on the sphynx open gun. do you have a showroom where I can see the gun for myself.

things like trigger pull, replacement parts, gunsmithing. how does it compared to a tanfoglio Eric open...

STI mags go for about 85$ and SVI go for 135$ from other site sponsors that I Will not say since this is double taps thread. They might be available here

the only info on the Open gun is what is on the Sphinx web site, at a moment we do not have any in stock, still waiting for it to arrive. that had some minor problems and until it is resolved the factory will not ship any Open guns.

the answer to your other questions...

trigger pull should be somewhere around 2 2/4 lb. replacement parts (if needed) will be available trough Double Tap, comparison to Eric open...don't know have not shot one to be able to compare, all I have to compare with is the Production and Standard guns we do have in stock and they are made to the highest standards.

Being that you had some samples at the provincials, will you also have them at the nationals? Wouldn't mind having a look at them. Crappy on the delay for the open guns from them.
