For what this is, a heavy barrel doesn't make a great deal of sense, unless of course your goal is to make it heavier and balance poorly. Medium weight - perhaps, heavy - meh. It's not like you're going to over heat the barrel with 9mm (5) round semi-auto mag dumps...
