    Well the current TRG22 and 42 has a plastic bolt too. As was already said, it is nicer than steel in the cold weather. Speaking of shooting in the snow, that new stock would be a nightmare in the winter because there are so many holes, gaps and crevices for snow and ice to build up in. The current TRG22-42 composite stock would be preferable for winter ops in my experience/opinion.
