    It's a 7.62x35 load - AAC's version of a less tapered ballistically similar to the 7.62x39 round, but designed to feed well in the AR platform.

    Anyone know why they stopped making the 700 XHR with the triangular barrel? ever since my friend got his VTR i've really liked the triangular barrel idea but im not quite fully satisfied with a .308 so when i heard about the XHR i thought it was great but its now discontinued
