BCL - Match barrel options - McGowen, Shilen, Krieger, International Barrel

Now that others have confirmed a DPMS spec AR10 barrel will fit on the BCL 102's, I can offer a wide range of match barrels is all sorts of custom set ups.

McGowen is likely the widest selection and that includes contours, lengths, chambers, twists, fluting, muzzle threading, steel, exterior finish. These are truly custom barrels so you can choose what you prefer.

Shilen and Krieger also offer a selection of set ups but cater to the match and military formats and not as liberal on changes.

I am also happy to announce that International Barrels in Chilliwack will be coming on line and I will be able to offer them to you. They are planning a range of cals and chambers to add to current 308 option in the coming months.

Prices for all will be very competitive as will performance. All of these are true match barrels manufactured to higher standards.

PM or email for a quote.

    Thanks

    Jerry

How easy to replace as an end user?

    Head spacing and such?

Just like any other AR... take the barrel nut off, gas block/tube and barrel. Insert new barrel and replace barrel nut. Torque to spec, check headspace, fit gas tube and block.

Check cycling and go have fun.

    This sounds very interesting :-)

18.5 light profile fluted with .875 gas block is what I would need. That would cut some weight up front :-)

How much weight do you think? The rifle is pretty heavy, so a lighter barrel that will still maintain good 3 shot group accuracy would be a nice addition for those hutning with it.

    Good news Jerry.

As you know, I have been thinking about what all I will have to do to my BCL102 (depending on what I get when it comes).

I am particularly fond of .260 Remington; do you expect that calibre to be available from some of these manufacturers?

Why I suggest Mcgowen... they have a very wide range of AR options..... contours, chamberings, twists, lengths, gas block sizes, muzzle threads, coatings and finishes... whatever. Just have a look

I would suggest getting an adjustable gas block as some combos simply have not been tested so you will need some options to control gas functioning.

    260 Rem... no problem

338 Federal... should be possible... BUT we can't say how the AR will handle these extra loads.

If it is on the reamer list, will fit in the AR mag, we can likely make it.
