hello everyone
UPDATES:post# 35
this is another basic review of the CanAms combo deal
another great deal from CanAm and their great costumer service.
heres the pictures i promised. the M305s i got was soaked in Oil, but the oil was easily removed by Spray9 and rinsed with hot water. the flash hider on this one is welded. looks like the receiver has some welding spots that has been grinned down. i fully disassembled the rifle (including the bolt:redface:) and inspected every part. the rifle was oiled and assembled. i used USGI Rifle Grease on every moving part and gun oil to protect the finish. the stock is in ok condition. the rear sight IS s**t. i had a USGI rear sight and installed it :D. luckily the barrel is indexed correctly. i hate the mags but i believe itll be fixed with my dremel. the ammo is Steel cased copper washed berdan primed, bullet is copper FMJ 143.5 Grain

OH DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE BOLT if you have no TOOLS or a THIRD HAND
if no tools you can use a 30-06 casing placed in the chamber to push the ejector pin so the extractor fall into place

ENJOY
cheers to yall

I've been looking at that deal, it looks like a steal! Is it fairly good quality for the money? How heavy is the rifle ballpark? I want to pull the proverbial trigger on it but Visa would love me to much.

oh well i just uploaded the pictures, anyone who wants to add some more pictures please feel free to do so

Gee, that looks oddly familiar, except for seeing the inside of the bolt. Nice work!!!

As for the mags I found them really tight fitting and hard to strip from the gun. Read: Hold mag release open and hit the back of the mag with a rubber mallet. Now, I didn't actually put the mags in with the stock mag release though as I installed an NEA upgraded wide paddle release. To fix the mags I used the table grinder to take about half of the domino looking catch of the mag down. I test fitted, ground some more, test fitted, ground and so on until it was where I wanted them. Now they strip out of the gun as easily as my PMAGS in my ARs.

Ahhhhhh!!!!!.....seeing these pics is making me even more impatient to getting mine...Canam were you guys able to ship any rifles out today???...I know you had to test fire more before shipping.....Please give me some good news!!!!:runaway:

no wonder i was pulling out some black stuff out of the barrel lol i changed the picture way back but photobucket is slow in updating pictures. is it gone now?

pictures?
so you worked on the extra piece on the back of the mag? the one that locks into the mag release?
The rivet on the mags is exposed and does not interfere with the operation or removal. It was the mag catch not clearing the mag release lever when it was pressed. Three mags, all the same issue. All the same fix.
