Began my processing start of November 2017
Had it returned twice for missing info/wrong photo size and finally received the physical license last week January 18th roughly.

    Here is my timeline:

    Took PAL/RPAL course Sept. 23, 24.
Recieved stamped results from Ontario CFO October 27
Mailed out to RCMP October 30
    Recieved by RCMP November 3
Still waiting for license to be issued...

I did answer yes on the loss of job question.

3 of us got our PAL's at the same time. 2 of us got our RPAL's. The 2 of us that got our RPAL's said yes for the loss of job question. Our buddy who didn't get his RPAL had all no's to his questions. He received his license January 9.

Meanwhile my buddy and I are still waiting. The wait has been excruciating!

What was the loss of job question? Is that new?

When I did my PAL I think in 2007 it took about 7 weeks from the time they received the paperwork.

That is pretty impressive! I waited 4 months for mine roughly.

Also am not sure about the place of birth question as to exact syntax they will use in regards to commas, fwd slash, town and district I was born in. So I phoned today, Jan 9, 2018, and the lady said it might be in the building but can't tell me that. So unfortunately for me I won't know if it got lost in the Christmas mail surge.

Update: just showed up online Jan 19. It states: Application Received on 2017-12-11
Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.
Update: on Jan 22, status went to "processed and issued, call us if you don't see it in two weeks"
Update again: Feb 1st, received it in the mail.
I gotta say that was pretty decent. Not too bad a wait.

It asks if you lost your job or something else. I can't remember what the other part of the question is. Since I have never had a PAL before, I can't say if it is new or not.
