Hello everyone, I FINALLY got my PAL in the mail! Took exactly 4 months to get, I live in Alberta.

Final PAL Alberta Timeline Update (non-restricted):
Application sent express mail: June 24, 2022
Application received by RCMP: June 30, 2022
CC Charged and initial review: Sept 15 2022
    Application approved/issued: October 5 2022
Finally have license in hand: October 25 2022

Good luck everyone! And thanks to everyone for their help. Still debating if I am going to do the restricted.

    I am struggling right now.
    Application sent June 02.
    Received June 17.
    Card charged September 07.
    0 updates since.

I'm moving provinces in two months. Is there someone I can call to get this sorted?

Just FYI, I called this morning hoping for a status update - and was put on hold! I feel like that's a development since my last few calls all went like this:

We apologize for not being able to answer your call. We are experiencing a higher than normal call volume. Please call back at a later time. Many of our services are available online at www.... Then the call just ends abruptly.

Maybe now that handguns are banned, they're starting to process PALs and take calls?

    Rpal upgrade ontario
Sent in end of Feb 2022
    Application received March 23rd
Credit card charged in June if I remember correctly
Shortly after I received an incomplete payment notice by mail indicating I owed 17 cents. Sent the payment in by mail but proceeded to unsuccessfully call randomly for next few months to verify payment as my status was unchanged online and no notice of credit card charged.
Today I called using the extension 2501 that a previous member mentioned and finally was able to talk to a human after being on hold for only 30 min. She said they never received my mailed payment but was able to complete the transaction and verify no missing information on application. Afterwards she was able to approve and issue my license.

P.s. I wrote that update on hold. As it turns out - I even got to speak to someone!

I was hoping to confirm my application was complete since I know it slows things down if the RCMP mails you notice that something is missing. Apparently she was unable to confirm receipt of my mailed renewal application (expired PAL) from three weeks ago.

    Hi,
License prints out from Miramichi, NB. It takes approx 2 weeks time from the date it was issued or the day it appeared in your online portal. Yours will be there shortly, my guess is 28th of Oct.
mine was issued on Oct 11 & I got it on Oct 25, exactly 2 weeks later!
    I hope this helps!

Well, you are probably in the same boat I am. Mine was sent by Fedex overnight and confirmed received via tracking number on September 21. I log into IWS and the last update was when my regular PAL was renewed in 2018. Other posters here have indicated nothing will change status wise until your application envelope is opened. And that apparently, can take months...

I log in every day, just to see if there is any movement.

I tried calling them today, and after navigating through a series of menus, it said high volume of calls, try back later, and hung up.
