mines been with the cfo for 2 months , its a Eenie Meenie Miney Moe knida thing , some wait the min 28 days some wait years , if you checked any boxes expect a 1 to 2 year wait , from what i see there is not really a rule or logics behind what applications they do and how fast they do them but have heard the more you call / email the longer they tend to take , they advise to only call or email once per month

How can you tell how long it has been with the CFO? i mailed mine 13 months ago (zero boxes checked, never in any legal trouble, pay ample taxes et lol)

I called them at the 30 day mark , they said that my file was transferred to the cfo at the 29th day and to wait 4 weeks before calling back in , they actually called me Friday to tell me they are 2-3 weeks behind here in nb and that I should have a answer on mine in 2 weeks , my neighbor applied after me and got his approved in 29 days and already got his physical card in

There don't seem to be any reasoning/explanation behind the wait tines besides its a eine meanie miny moe type deal

I finally got mine. I'll post one last time here after I get my physical card in the mail, which should take 5 weeks.

Seems like it was a busy day for the cfos yesterday, got a call from my local cfo saying mine was approved also
"If there is no issues with the printers I should have my card within 2 weeks" took a little under 3 months

I was just approved for PAL/RPAL after making a very polite phone call and sending an email to the CFO.
13 months after I sent my paperwork via registered mail.

I had pretty much given up hope of ever receiving my lisence.
My application having been received on 28 March 22. With several phone calls and no updates.
    Much to my surprise.
As of today 13 July 2023. Mr Trudeau Jr and his minions have finely decided I am sufficiently stable and responsible to own a firearm and have issued my licence.
It should arrive within two weeks.
If I’m lucky I might actually get it before August.
